Even Your Garage Needs Organized

For many homes, the garage is on the list areas that need to be organized. It has become a convenient storage area for objects that we can’t find room for in the house. In fact, it’s estimated that about 30% of people have accumulated so much stuff, they are not even able to park their car in the garage. If this sounds like you, no judgement here, I have just the thing you need… a game plan.

Start by taking a good look around and see if there is anything you might be able to get rid of. Maybe it’s that weight set you bought 6 years ago, when you started your fitness journey, but never actually used. Possibly even those old lawn chairs that you meant to bring to the Good Will a couple months ago. Getting rid of the old stuff will allow you to start organizing and plan for where any new stuff is going to go.

Once you have gotten rid of the stuff you no longer need, it’s time to sort through your other belongings. Start with placing objects into category piles on your driveway; a pile for your gardening supplies, a pile for your tools, and any other categories you might have.  With the garage empty, you can adequately clean your floors and wipe down your walls.

A fresh clean slate feels great, and let’s you see the space you have to work with, as you build a new home storage system. You will need to put some thought into how you are going to keep your garage organized from now on.

Consider having built-in storage units installed by Statewide Blinds! We offer everything from shelves and baskets to hooks and hangers, and they will fit perfectly since they are custom made for your space. They are just the tool you need to stay organized for good.

While you’re waiting for us to come out and give you free proposal, go ahead and start off by using utility hangers to hold your bikes, getting them out of the way. Push larger equipment on the wall to the opposite side of the garage, to provide optimal space for the installation of your brand-new garage organizer.

Well, there you have it, a game plan for getting control of the garage catch all. Give us a call to get that free proposal. Don’t forget to stop by our social media and say hello, and come by next Tuesday for more tips!
